Happy Easter

Had a nice time with family and friends over the weekend. A non-conventional Easter, but nice just the same.

Excitement!!

It's trying to be Spring

Slowly upon slowly the flowers are appearing trying to wake up and stretch out in the warm daylight. But alas the cold spring, wet and windy is still upon us, making us wait anxiously. Making the buds and early bearers of spring life want to bed back down... crawl back in and wake up later on mid Sunday afternoon. That's what I feel like... can you tell?

Thanks Magnolia for being courageous and blazing the way with your delicate yet hearty blooms. It's hard to remember that this happens every single year.

Healing Wall Project

Some talented program therapists at work are busy creating a healing wall. It's an interesting project of putting together tiles that patients and staff have painted to express the healing journey. I'm excited to see how it's going to turn out. They assembled about 100 tiles and it didn't take up a very big area, but it had quite an impact being all together. I painted 2 tiles and one turned out pretty well, and I didn't care for the colors on the other one... but that's okay... it's all part of the journey :)

Wow... it's been a whole year since my last post (unbelievable). I'm very much looking forward to a class at M.E.C.C.A on carving blocks and making block prints... is it May yet? Thanks JB for the info, your my link to "real life" :)
